Meet Us

Jannie Hartter

Founder & Owner

I have called Campbell County, TN, home since 2006. In 2018, I married my soulmate, David Hartter, and together, we’ve been blessed with children and grandchildren.

Over 20 years ago, God led me into women’s ministry through a Christian direct sales jewelry company. Through that experience, I discovered my passion for serving women—helping them recognize both their God-given inner and outer beauty. Then, in 2017, God called me to join a women’s jail ministry team. I was terrified, but I chose to trust Him, knowing that true obedience often means stepping outside of our comfort zones. The moment I walked into that first jail cell, my testimony poured out effortlessly, and I realized my true calling.

Through my journey, God has shown me that all women experience brokenness in some way and that each of us has a story to tell. Women need to know the promises God has for them—that they are made in His image, deeply loved, and created with a purpose. No matter their past, Jesus died on the cross for their sins so they can walk in freedom and new life. His love is unconditional, His grace is unending, and His plans for us are good.

That calling led me to open Where My Heart Leads Thrifty Boutique—a place where every woman can find a warm smile, a listening ear, and a helping hand.

Katelynn Monday

Marketing/Social Media Manager

Hi, I’m Katelynn, the marketing/social media manager of Where My Heart Leads Thrifty Boutique. My journey in retail began years ago, but my true passion has always been helping women feel beautiful, confident, and encouraged.

After stepping away from retail to be a stay-at-home mom, I found myself searching for purpose. Through prayer, God led me back to my calling—first through beauty sales, then by helping my mom start this very boutique.

Now, in 2025, I see His hand in every part of my journey. He has restored my marriage, strengthened my faith, and given me the joy of raising my children in a God-centered home. Through this boutique, I am blessed to encourage and uplift women every day.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
